Originally from Jakarta, Rico Tan is the Director of Technology, a part of the leadership team at Children’s Day School, in San Francisco, California. In this role, his team is responsible for the design and support of all technology infrastructure and programs for the school to include teaching and learning, professional development, skills development, and knowledge management. His team is also responsible for the architecture of all learning technologies, strategic planning for innovation, media, and content curation. Prior to his current role, Rico spent two decades working in technology for multimillion-dollar brands such as 3Com Corp and a global 100 law firm leading their world-wide video conferencing technology.
Rico is a Google Certified Educator, Certified Casper Administrator, traveler, drone enthusiast, an accomplished photographer and video producer, and long-time San Francisco Bay Area resident. Further, he’s active in the Silicon Valley startup community, especially within education industries.
