Grouped art projects are wonderful ways of involving students in collaborative mural for others to enjoy and appreciate. I have developed scaffolded mural planning that initially engage the individual art student but later expand to include groups of 5-10 students (depending on the project). The quality of final outcome, or outcomes, depends on all involved contributing in creating colorful and meaningful large mural compositions focused on making others think and smile. Mural painting products can be completed in class and relocated or group paint murals completed on sight. (More in-depth information including curricular documents and visual examples would / will be provided.)
